Wright & Forrest songs since I first heard it sung by Alfred Drake on the original cast album, and . Bob & Chet had a special fondness for their 1961 Broadway musical, the story of acclaimed English actor Edmund Kean, written for the Legendary Alfred Drake.

Robert "Bob" Craig Wright (September 25, 1914, Daytona Beach, Florida, USA – July 27, 2005, Miami, Florida, USA) was an American composer and lyricist. Wright collaborated with George Forrest for more than 70 years - frequently adapting classical composers’ music, to create some 2,000 songs featured in 16 stage musicals, 18 revues, and 58 movies, as well as a number of cabaret acts. Among their best-known musicals were "Song of Norway" (1944), the Tony Award-winning "Kismet" (1953), and "Grand Hotel" (1989).

The score by Robert Wright and George & Forrest (who also wrote the dazzling KISMET in which Drake played Hajj) is a beguiling mix of operetta and musical theatre. Drake is joined by not one but two lovely leading ladies (Joan Weldon and Lee Venora) who both have their own shining moments in the score (Lee Venora's "Willow, Willow Willow" being a major highlight of the entire score). Other standouts include "Sweet Danger" and "Let's Improvise".
