When someone tells you that the Elevators albums sound crappy, play them thi.  . It is this quest for pure sanity that forms the basis of the songs on this album. continued in YouTube annotations).

Live is a 1968 studio album by the American psychedelic rock band the 13th Floor Elevators. In an interview the band cited that the album was essentially made up of studio outtakes that were overdubbed with phony cheering and applause. The album is held in low regard and was put together by the International Artists label to make extra money with little to no input from the band.

The 13th Floor Elevators were an American rock band from Austin, Texas, formed by guitarist and vocalist Roky Erickson, electric jug player Tommy Hall, and guitarist Stacy Sutherland. The band was together from 1965 to 1969, and during that period released four albums and seven singles for the International Artists record label. The Elevators were the first band to refer to their music as psychedelic rock, with the first-known use of the term appearing on their business card in January 1966.

The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators. The musicianship is superb, the songwriting brilliant and original. Production values are high and the album coheres as a collection of exemplary songs of the period, yet also transcending their era. This album stands with anything recorded in 1966; as John Savage says in his book 1966, this is "the real thing".

The Thirteenth Floor is a 1999 science fiction film directed by Josef Rusnak and loosely based upon Simulacron-3 (1964), a novel by Daniel F. Galouye, and Welt am Draht (1973) (World on Wires), a German two-part television film by Rainer Werner Fassbinder. The 13th Floor is the fourth full-length album by the Norwegian Gothic metal band Sirenia and first with Spanish vocalist Ailyn. It was released on January 23, 2009 through Nuclear Blast. Beagle Bag is a collection of computer games for the Apple II family of computers published in 1982 by Beagle Bros Software. In common with their other titles, the Beagle Bag software was released in unlocked and unprotected form, and is now in the public domain. 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS - PSYCHEDELIC ROCK GROUP. Often considered the first psychedelic rock group as well as the first underground band to achieve commercial success, the 13th Floor Elevators were a Texas-based outfit that combined folk/rock, R&B, and hard-driving rock 'n' roll with mystical lyrics that espoused the virtues of drugs.
