He is currently leading a trio with Joey Baron and Thomas Morgan, in the fall of 2016 the trio released a highly acclaimed album Streams through ECM Records. Bro is working with Palle Mikkelborg and with Bro/Knak, a collaboration with the Danish electronica producer Thomas Knak and he is a former member of Paul Motian Band and a current member of Tomasz Stankos Dark Eyes Quintet

Jakob Bro (1978) is a Danish guitar player and composer living in Copenhagen, Denmark. Ever since playing the Village Vanguard with Paul Motian’s band 12 years ago I have dreamt of coming back to the club someday with my own music.
